Yunguilla

Hola Amigos!
Estoy en Yunguilla. I love the country side and the small town. Working in the sun all day is great for me. I have been able to shed the stress of the city this past week. I can breathe deeply for the first time in Ecuador. I am loving speaking spanish and it comes more naturally and flows better every day. I have so much inside of me. I can´t write much more because I spent all of my money on the phone, but I wanted to write an entry saying ´hola, I am alive and well, doing much better´

right now i am actually in san antonio, el mitad del mundo. we came for pizza with a friend-worker from the farm, pedro.

Yunguilla is great and i am enjoying participating in the community.

Al and I are living in a casa with 3 other WWOOFers right now and we are having a good time. We are well and send our love!

I will write more as I am able.

LOVES!

  1. Wow you two. Reading this entry puts a lot inside of me as well. Just reading it. I wonder what it would be like to be digging through Central American soil with the sun on my shoulders. It sounds like satisfaction, the kind entwined with beauty or things there are no words for. Not staleness or comfort. I hope you are having as wonderful a time as you sound like you are. Keep making us all jealous. Oh, tambien yo tengo una pregunta; como es "la mitad del mundo?" Half of the world? No tiene sentido a mi. O tal vez soy una idiota. Cao y buen viejo hasta el fin.

  2. Haha! I love that you spent all of your money on the phone thing (someone must be in love :)!)

Yay for the Spanish flowing better every day! I hope working in the earth is as rewarding of an experience as I can imagine it to be. It must be awesome to look back on a day's work and feel like you have accomplished so much. Furthermore, it must be awesome to realize that accomplishment is making a difference. I hope you are learning a lot about life and yourself!

    Much love!

Lizzle (this is my blog so I can stalk you people effectively)
